What's Included in ProfExam Suite

ProfExam Suite is a bundle consisting of two applications:

  • ProfExam Creator - used to create and edit exam files. It allows you to add questions, answer choices, images, and explanations, configure exam parameters, and save the resulting exam files. Note: taking tests is not supported in the Creator.
  • ProfExam Simulator - designed for opening and taking completed exams. It allows you to answer questions, view results, and retake exams.

Each application can be purchased separately. Benefits of purchasing the ProfExam Suite bundle:

  • Single Activation Key: One license key activates both the Creator and the Simulator.
  • Bundle Discount: Purchasing the suite is more cost-effective than buying both applications individually.

ProfExam Creator supports Windows 11 only. Purchasing ProfExam Suite does not add macOS or Linux support to ProfExam Creator; the Creator can still only run on a Windows 11 PC.

To use it on macOS or Linux, you can run a Windows 11 virtual machine (e.g., using Parallels Desktop). In this case, the Creator runs inside the Windows virtual environment, not as a native macOS application. This setup may require separate licenses for Windows 11 and the virtualization software. If you are considering this option, we highly recommend downloading the trial version to verify compatibility with your setup before purchasing a license.

ProfExam Simulator can be installed directly on Windows, macOS, or Linux. For example, you can create an exam using ProfExam Creator on a Windows PC and then open and take it using ProfExam Simulator on any other supported platform.

Which to Choose

  • If you only need to take existing exams, ProfExam Simulator is sufficient.
  • If you need to create or edit exams, you will need ProfExam Creator.
  • If you need both capabilities, purchasing ProfExam Suite is more convenient and cost-effective.
