Importing Passwords

Secrets Guard supports bulk import of accounts from popular browsers and third-party password managers via CSV files.

Supported Import Sources

• Web browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Yandex Browser, Brave.
• Password managers: KeePass, Bitwarden, 1Password, LastPass, RoboForm (via CSV export).

Step-by-Step Import

1. Export the passwords from your browser or old password manager to a .csv file.
2. In Secrets Guard, open “Tools” -> “Import Passwords”.
3. Choose the data source (for example, Google Chrome or Generic CSV).
4. Specify the path to the exported .csv file.
5. Enter the name of the target folder for the imported records (for example, “Imported from Chrome”).
6. In the preview table, check the records you want to import.
7. Click “Start Import”.

Caution

Delete the source CSV file: After a successful import, be sure to securely delete the source .csv file from your computer, because it contains your passwords in plain (unencrypted) text.
