Overview
Rylstim Screen Recorder is a simple Windows app for recording your screen to an MP4 video with sound, and trimming the finished recording right away.
Features
- Record the full screen, a specific monitor, a selected screen region, or an application window.
- Record audio from your microphone and system audio (whatever plays through your speakers or headphones), separately or both at once.
- Show the mouse cursor and highlight mouse clicks in the video.
- Pause and resume recording without starting a new file.
- The recording control panel does not appear in the video.
- Trim the finished recording: fast (lossless) or precise (re-encoded).
Recordings are saved as MP4 (H.264 video, 30 fps, about 8 Mbps; AAC audio, 128 kbps, stereo) and play in any modern media player, web browser, or video editor.
System requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit.
- Trimming and exporting also requires the free ffmpeg tool (see Installing ffmpeg). ffmpeg is not needed for recording itself.

- Get to know the main window.
- Choose what to record and set up audio.
- Start a recording, then trim it if needed.
